Swink Athletes of the Week:
Wrestling - Thomas Valdez/Senior
- 120 lbs Weight Class
Thomas is currently ranked 2nd in the state at his weight class leading into regionals and state. He has taken first over and over in each tournament this season and is a serious contender to win state at his weight class.
Boys Basketball - Nick Paollucci/Senior #22 - Guard
Nick has been leading the Boys Basketball Team with hustle and tough defense throughout the season. This past Saturday he drained threes leading Swink to a big win over Las Animas.
Girls Basketball - Madelyn Bamber/Junior #32 - Center
Madelyn has scored 14 and 8 pts in 2 of the last 3 wins and is a tough presence on the boards for the Lady Lions. Madelyn has led Our Swink Girls that have won 3 of their last 5 games.

She is ranked 6th in the state at 125lbs in Girls Wrestling!! This past weekend she beat the number 4&8 ranked girls in the state making her the Tri-Peak League Champion!!! Go Lions!!!
