Swink School district is currently accepting sealed bids on a 2004 Chevrolet 14 passenger minibus. The minibus currently has 116,500 miles, fairly new tires, 6.0L V-8 gas engine. Minibus is sold as is. Sealed bids must be submitted to Swink School, PO Box 487, Swink, CO 81077 or dropped off at the district office by 4:00pm on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Bids will be opened on February 6, 2025 at the board meeting. The district reserves the right to refuse any and all bids. A discussion on parental controls, resources, safety, and how to have conversations about social media, gaming, and online safety with your children and dependents. Topics may include how to prevent and respond to cyberbullying, reporting, and online risks."


Swink swimmers on the La Junta Co-op team had a fantastic weekend! Everyone cut time in their events. Rio qualified for state in the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke. Sydney added the 200 freestyle to her state qualifying events and Larriana added the 50 freestyles to hers. Rio came back for finals in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke. Sydney came back for finals for the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly. Larriana came back for the 100 backstroke, placing 2nd overall. All three relays teams made it back to the finals, as well. Great Job Girls!!!

Boys Basketball - Luke Hanagan (Power Forward)
Luke was a big part of helping lead our Lions Boys Basketball Team to a big win vs Kim-Branson! He consistently works hard each and every moment he can and shows great Senior Leadership and maturity with his team! He also gives the Lions some needed physicality under the basket! Swink School will have a 2 hour delay on Wednesday, Jan. 8, due to the extreme cold and allow time for crews to clear snow/ice and put down salt to ensure safety of arrival. No Breakfast will be served. Dress warm and be safe.
The home wrestling match against Limon will start at 6:00pm tomorrow night in the new gym, along with recognition of the wrestling parents.
