What a Special Treat for the students at Swink Schools yesterday!!! Local Parent and Veteran Jim Robinson shared his experiences in the U.S. Military to our students for Veteran's Day!!! Our students learned about the sacrifice and service that a United States soldier gives to our Great Country!!! Thanks again Mr. Robinson for your sacrifice and duty that was given for all us!!!











Congratulations to Swink High sophomore Karlee Knabenshue!!!
She competed in the CHSAA Gymnastics State competition this past weekend for Pueblo Central.
She placed:
5th on the Bars
7th on the Vault
9th for All around Gymnastics and
15th in Floor Exercise
What an amazing feat!!!

Swink is transitioning to all sports banquets per season that are sponsored by the Swink Booster Club. For our Fall Sports the banquet is scheduled for Tuesday Dec. 3rd @ 6 pm. Dinner will be provided by boosters. 6-6:45 pm with all sports together. 6:45 - 7 pm will be the athletic directors comments and awards. At 7 pm our sports will move to breakout rooms for their banquet activities for each sport. Join us for an exciting night Tuesday Dec. 3rd.

State Volleyball Bracket has been released for the State Tournament.
Swink Lady Lions have a bye the first round and will play Thursday at 3:30pm.
Tickets – Please buy tickets and parking online and in advance! CHSAA ticket prices are $15 for adults and $12 for students (kids 5 and under free) and senior citizens (60+).

Freshman wrote argumentative essays in Mrs. Schleich's English class. Miley (homework) and Rio (ear buds) presented to the board of education their topics.



Congratulations to Derek for being chosen for the All State Choir. Derek was one of 300 high school students chosen from 1,545 students who auditioned for the All State Choir across the state. The performance will be in mid-January in Denver.
Congratulations again to Derek.


There will be no school on Thursday, November 14, due to state volleyball.
Send off for the volleyball team will be Wednesday afternoon at 3:30pm.

Suminagashi is Japanese for floating ink.
Artist of the Week is Rose who used this process to create the background for her ocean themed linoleum print.
Relief printmaking is one of the more basic types and requires a raised inked surface. By removing areas from a material that you don’t want to be inked and inking only raised areas, you can easily transfer the image onto a surface. This process dates back to 200 A.D.
