Congratulations to Swink Lion Madalyn T for being selected for the 2025 3A All-State Softball Team. Madalyn plays for the La Junta team and received Honorable Mention. Way to go Madalyn.

Congratulations to Swink's very own Rio on her great success in cross country this year. Rio runs for the Rocky Ford team and cut 24 seconds off her state time from last year's race. She finished 15th out of 132 runners. Way to go Rio!!!

The Kindergartners present their festive play entitled: "The Little Old Lady Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything Show." They were all dressed up at scarecrows.

Swink School’s Operation Smile Chapter was started in 2006 by Chris Casper, the school nurse at the time. Each year, money is raised to help pay for cleft palate and cleft lip surgeries in 3rd world countries. One surgery costs approximately $250. This year is our 16th Annual K-12 Miles for Smiles Walk-a-thon! The walk-a-thon will be on Thursday, October 23, from 3:30-4:00 pm.

Elementary students will bring home collection envelopes on 10/16/25. They are encouraged to collect donations and return their envelopes on 10/23/25. The Walk-a-thon will be held from 3:30-4:00 on the track on 10/23/25. Students will be walking to celebrate the money collected for Operation Smile.

Donations can also be dropped off in the school office. Please make all checks payable to Operation Smile.

Artist of the week, Rylee Conty, designs a page for homecoming in the yearbook. This is Rylee's first year in Digital Art and he is full of awesome ideas.
