The elementary students always get their park day at the end of the year, so Swink High School StuGo planned a park day for the JH/HS students with a grilled hamburger/hotdog lunch and some great fun games for the afternoon.

The STEAM Club and Gifted/Talented students had the opportunity to travel to the Denver Downtown Aquarium last week on an adventure like no other. In addition to exploring the aquarium, those students who chose were able to "Swim with the Fish." Those students got into wetsuits and snorkeled in the aquarium tank with stingrays, eels, and other types of fish. Thank you to Mrs. Cuckcow and Mr. Eckhart for organizing and sponsoring this awesome adventure and experience.

Swink School is very proud of Katie for being recognized by the El Paso County Bar Association for her outstanding performance in the South Regional Mock Trial Competition. Crystal Rayos, Executive Director of the Association, presented Katie with a plaque this morning and stated that Katie was 1 of 6 individuals, out of over 180, recognized for this honor. Way to go, Katie.
Swink School hopes to have a team again next year to compete in the Mock Trial Regional Competition.

We are sad to say that we have decided to cancel the elementary classes' water day this week due to the predicted cool weather and the possibility of rain on Wednesday. We are making plans to move the water days to August to kick off the 2026-2027 school year.

Junior Javin captures his second state title at the 2026 Colorado State Track Meet, while also breaking the state meet record in the triple jump. Javin broke his own state record today after jumping 45'1", and then with a jump of 45'3 3/4". Congratulations Javin on your Gold Metal, 1st place finish.

Karlee went into the 2026 Colorado State Track Meet ranked 9th in the triple jump and ended up placing 3rd with a bronze metal finish. She also had a personal record by almost 2 feet. Congratulations Karlee!!

Swink School District has needs for some upgrades to its facilities, including but not limited to parking lots, water drainage, repairs to the old gym roof ceiling, and others.
