Elementary Art has been doing drawings for Halloween the past couple of weeks. Congratulations to each grade level winner. Thank you to Mrs. Bickel for the amazing work you do with our students and their creativity.

Rylee worked with Adrian Hart and SECO news to cover the Swink Halloween parade.

The Kindergartners present their festive play entitled: "The Little Old Lady Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything Show." They were all dressed up at scarecrows.

Swink School’s Operation Smile Chapter was started in 2006 by Chris Casper, the school nurse at the time. Each year, money is raised to help pay for cleft palate and cleft lip surgeries in 3rd world countries. One surgery costs approximately $250. This year is our 16th Annual K-12 Miles for Smiles Walk-a-thon! The walk-a-thon will be on Thursday, October 23, from 3:30-4:00 pm.

Elementary students will bring home collection envelopes on 10/16/25. They are encouraged to collect donations and return their envelopes on 10/23/25. The Walk-a-thon will be held from 3:30-4:00 on the track on 10/23/25. Students will be walking to celebrate the money collected for Operation Smile.

Donations can also be dropped off in the school office. Please make all checks payable to Operation Smile.

Artist of the week, Rylee Conty, designs a page for homecoming in the yearbook. This is Rylee's first year in Digital Art and he is full of awesome ideas.

TC Valdez (local photographer) visits CTE course digital art to talk about careers in photography.
Students Bobbijo, Conner, Ony and Rylee learned a ton and asked some interesting questions. Big Shout Out to TC for taking time out of his schedule to inspire students.

Michael DeLeon from Steered Straight inspired Swink students on Thursday to “Stay in their Lane” by living healthy lives and staying drug and alcohol free. Thank you to the parents and stakeholders who attended the "Parents Academy" on Thursday evening.
