The track resurfacing is coming along, and it sure looks good.

Congratulations to the Junior High Volleyball Team on their 2nd-place finish in the Hi-Plains League Tournament. They went in seated last and knocked off two higher-seeded teams before falling to McClave in the championship game. Way to go, girls and coaches!!!

Be sure to come out on Tuesday, October 20, to watch the Lady Lions take on Pikes Peak Christian starting at 4:30 pm with JV followed by Varsity.

Congratulations to the Junior High Football team on their 40-14 win over Springfield. What a fantastic way to end the season!!

🏆 SWINK CLASSIC CHAMPS! 🦁🏐 Congratulations to the 16-1 Lady Lions that are currently ranked #3 in Class 1A State Volleyball. What an AMAZING day of volleyball! ❤️ We are building something great, and days like today are proof of that! Every girl got time on the court, stepped up, and contributed to our success. We played disciplined defense, trusted each other, and competed as a TEAM! 💪🏻 Proud of this group and the direction we’re headed! After the final round of the 2A State Championships, Swink Golf walks away proud. Freshman Brody Bauserman finishes 35th (T-4th among Freshman) and Senior Kaleb Malden finishes 65th. These were really strong performances for two first-time qualifiers. Great season for these two young men and thank you to the coaches!

Elementary students learned about Fire Prevention and Safety today. One station included a trailer where students were able to touch a door to determine if it was hot from a fire, along with a stove that created smoke to set off a smoke detector, so students would evacuate to a safe location. The second station was to learn more about firefighters.
Thank you to Fire Chief Brad Davidson and the La Junta Fire Department for putting this very valuable and educational experience on for our students.
